My name is Naomi
I am a communications coordinator and graphic designer based in Calgary, AB.

In my career path I knew I needed the freedom to be creative and have a variety of problem solving issues to tackle. With a combination of design and communications, I get the best of both worlds. I'll grab people's attention with eye-catching graphics and compelling messages that will make your clients and potential customers want to know more about your company and it's products/services.

I've been in the graphic design industry for 5 years and the communications and media industry for just under 2 years. I have education and experience in print technology, effective communication with clients, graphic design and more. To excel in my career, I continue my work where I can by taking on occasional freelance projects to improve my skills and find more ways to do what I love.

I have a bachelors degree in Communications and Media Studies from the University of Calgary combined with a diploma from SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) in Graphic Communications and Print Technology.​​​​​​​ Since I love learning so much, I've also gained some online certificates in photography, web design, and I plan to complete more in the future!

What was the most meaningful project you've made?
​
One of my grandma's friends reached out to me and she asked me to make some illustrations and put them all together in a video with animated text and graphics. I had tons of fun designing the illustrations, editing the audio to align with the video, and more. To respect her privacy I am not allowed to make the video public until her program is complete, but its a project that we put a lot of love into and I'm very proud of it. Not only was it challenging and exciting, but the message of the video is something that I support and stand by. To the right is one of the animations I made for the project.
What do you do when you're not working?

A whole lot of stuff if I can! I'm a huge fan of being with and around people whether it's meeting my family, organizing a Bible study with my friends, going for a hike, and the list goes on.
